I'll go ahead and post general administrative issues here. Its probably going to be slow for a little while, but dont lose faith as these things usually do take some time. As of right now it seems we have 2 or 3 writers, a couple project workers, and possibly a programmer. I'd like to to announce what you'd be willing to work on here. If your a fan and have no technical skills, but think you could still come up with some ideas, then put yourself down as a writer. Here are some of the positions we need filled:
Artists Programmers Level designers Sound engineers Testers Writers
Also if anybody has experiance in being a producer or game designer, please let us know, as your skills and knowledge would be extremely helpful.
Like I said guys, have patience - it will probably take some time before we get enough people to really get things going.

Well depending on what we will use as gameengine, I could do the programming things. I have nearly no experience with OpenGL/DX so far, so i prefer using a 2D Engine like FIFE.

First off, good topic Wolf.
Second, I have written a lot of stuff. Most prominently: I've done bits on an amateur movie script, I've written a storyline and dialogue for a hobbyist RPG (in total hundreds of pages long, made in RMXP) and I'm working on a script for a series about the end of the world which is mostly about character development and dialogue, but also about mystery and conspiracy. So writing would be my forte.
I've been the 'leader' on a small RPG project for a while (which I wrote the story for as well), and it started out great. But two guys had a beef, a real bad one. I got them to digitally kiss and make up but they wouldn't compromise on the creative aspect. I don't know what you make of that, it's up to you guys.
Anyhow, I still haven't had a lot of time but I'm going to work out a story summary and post it.
Oh and about the engine, we won't be making any decisions on that for a while, but I do like the look of FIFE.
In short: I'll put myself down for writer. If we don't get a really experienced producer to join the forum, I'm willing to help out in that area as well. I'll do as much as I can to get this going.

I can do programming as well, but im afraid work and school won't allow me to put a lot of time into It. I'll try to do as much as I can. On the other hand, I love the Fallout humor, and I act like a jackass like many NPCs in the game, so I would love to write scripts and dialog. This would not take as much time out of my priorities as programming would. But i can do either one.
Also we need some recruiting to do. But we don't want a bunch of amateurs running around, it has to be people with some talent. Hope this thing gets a good start.
nice to meet you guys btw.

Recruiting is a must right now, I'm doing what I can to contact a few old buddies with some skill, and the same enthusiasm we all have for the Fallout series, the only problem is their availability. It will take time but as long as we can all find experianced people with the right qualifications, we should be fine. I dont think that we should expect much time out of people, maybe 5 to 10 hours a week. I realize that this will make things slow, but we all have other jobs too.
For not do what you can to get qualified people, and continue posting the great ideas, while its not a lot, I like what we've got so far!

Good to meet you thirtyfive. We certainly could use every programmer, even though you won't have a lot of time, that's alright, no hurry. And of course everyone's welcome to help out in any aspect, be it writing dialogue, story or whatever. As long as you're devoted to the good cause.

Ok, here's where we stand right now, let me know if there are any mistakes and I will make corrections. I cant post sticky's right now but we can get this in a more appropriate place later. So here's our list:
jgwolfgram - Project Management acromos - Project Management noteme - Project Assistance, Programming Keono - Project Assistance, Forum admin, Writing thirtyfive - Programming, Writing chrisube - Art, Writing raventhedarth - Programming egalor - Level Design, Writing, Sound, Project Assistance nology5890 - Writing, Concept Art scaredhelmet - Writing, Concept Art, Level Design keithburgun - Art, Level Design, Sound
Also, to muff, I noticed you posted on our members section, but I was unsure if you'd like to be added to this list, let me know. If you guys noticed that egalor has a few more tasks then the rest of us then you are correct, he's a savage what can I say. This list is not perfect, and I know the titles aren't exactly official but we'll worry about that later. Think of this as a capabilities list, more then a "set in stone this is what your doing" list.
Hmm...9 members in 3 days...not bad, at this rate we'll have a hundred people in no time! jk =P
EDIT: SP

Great, Wolf! Now it gets definitely more clear. And don't worry about my tasks - I'm working with a group of people offline here almost as savage as me

Throw me down in writing and possibly concept art. It wouldn't be Photoshopped hackjobs, it'd be the real thing, with pencil and paper.
